Our wedding

1988 - 2021

We got married at Croydon registry office in 1988. Nathan was 27 and I was 23.  It was a small wedding and we went back to our flat for a daytime family celebration. We had a little dance around our living room to Always and Forever by Heatwave. Nathan's niece Natalia was one of our bridesmaids and his mum made the peach and cream dress, along with the wedding cake.

The following day we went off for our honeymoon in Menorca with our three children. Nathan was really excited as it was his first time going abroad.

We'd got Nathan's birth certificate for our marriage and that's when Nathan first realised he was called Junior.

In 2013, we held a special soul train 25th wedding anniversary party, which was lots of fun. Our boys clubbed together and gave us a mini break to Paris, which was lovely.

2021 we would have celebrated 40 years together and 33 years of married bliss. We were lucky to have a love for each other that people commented on visibly seeing just how much we loved each other and we did everything together as a couple. Not everyone gets to be so lucky in love.
